How to Create and Use Global Sections in DotcomPal
Global Sections let you create reusable, synchronized content sections in DotcomPal that you can add to multiple pages, funnels, or blogs so you can keep your design consistent and save time. Any update made to a Global Section automatically reflects everywhere it’s used, ensuring consistent design and saving editing time.
Step 1 – Select the Section You Want to Save
Hover over the section you want to convert into a Global Section and click to select it.
Step 2 – Open the Section Listing Menu
Click the Listing button that appears in the section’s option panel.
Step 3 – Add the Section to Your Library
From the dropdown menu, click the Add button.
Step 4 – Name and Categorize Your Section
When prompted, enter a name for your section and choose a category to organize it better.
Step 5 – Choose “Global Section”
You will see two options: Normal Section and Global Section. Select Global Section and click Save to Library.
Step 6 – Access Your Saved Global Section
Your section is now saved in the Saved library. You can access it anytime by clicking Saved inside the editor.
Step 7 – Reuse the Global Section Anywhere
Drag the Global Section from Saved library and drop it onto any page, funnel, or blog.
Step 8 – Understand the Locked State
By default, the section appears locked — meaning it’s synchronized and cannot be edited directly.
Step 9 – Unlock and Edit (Sync Across Pages)
To make changes, click the Unlock button in the top-right corner of the section. Any changes made to an unlocked Global Section will automatically update across all pages where it’s used.
You now have a reusable, synchronized design element, ensuring consistent style and content across your entire project while saving editing time.
