In this article, I am going to give you a brief description of the Design section present in the Build part of DotcomPal.
On the dashboard, upon clicking on Build, you will see four options on your left, namely Website, Memberships, Design and Settings. Among these, you have to click on Design.
After clicking on the Design option you will be redirected to the page editor.
In the editor on the left portion, you will see the Appearance tab.
Here in the appearance tab, the first option you will get is Your Global Appearance. From here you can select your desired appearance from the drop-down or you can also add your own appearance by using the plus button.
The changes that you will make here will apply to your whole website.
Moving further, you will see a list of elements that you can use to enhance the appearance of the website.
First is Colors, from here you can select and change the theme color and pallet color of your website.
You can choose your desired color using the color picker and color wheel and it also allows you to directly put the color code.
The second is Fonts, as the name suggests Fonts section allows you to select a distinct variety of fonts for your paragraph from the drop-down.
Click on the Edit button here
In the font drop-down you will see there is a further list of options and from here you can set Font Size, Spacing between lines, Line Height, Properties like Italics, Underline, and of course color.
Under Headline Type you can select headline preferences based on your requirement and the edit button will lead to the exact same options which we just discussed for Edit.
And in Font Link you set Link Color and Hover Color, using these yes & no radio buttons you can choose if you would like to have an underline below the link or not.
The third is Website Layout, from here you can change the Layout Style of the webpage. From the drop-down, you can select Boxed or Full Width, and also you can change its color. You can also add an image as a background using the Add Image button
Fourth is Button Style, this element provides you ample amount of options to design the button based on your convenience.
You can choose and select text color, background color and hover color.
Under the Border category you can set different types of borders from the drop-down like line, dashed, dotted, etc. And you can also change the size and color of the border.
You can even choose the corner type from the drop-down which is Rounded and Square and from this drop-down or slide bar present right below the corner type drop-down you can select the size of the button.
Then fifth is Navigation you will get these style options like you can select your desired font, font size, line spacing, line height, and a slide bar to adjust their sizes.
Other options include Properties like Bold, Italics, etc, Font color, Font background color, Font Hover color and you even get the option to change Font background hover color.
In the drop-down section of Navigation, you will get all the options identical to the options which we just discussed in navigation style.
The sixth category is Images, in this, you will get options to enhance the look and feel of the added image, like Border Type, Size, Border Color and Corner Type.
In the video section, you will get options that are again exact similar to the modification options available for Images that we have just discussed.
The last category is Form, in the form section, you will see options like Font Family, Font Size, Font Spacing, Line Height, Properties kike Italics and Underline, Font Color, Input color.
Then this Border section provides you options to change and select its Type, Size and Color and you can also select the type of Corner which can be rounded or square.
And in the corner option, you can choose the corner type from the drop-down.
Now at the bottom, you will see three buttons to save your work. With the Save as Default button, you can globally apply the changes to all the pages.
Save & Update will save the changes and update the page which is currently open.
And the Save As New button will save these changes as a new style, which you can also use later.
