Hello my friends, in this PDF I will explain you about mail setting, SMTP configuration on DotcomPal. As we know that SMTP is a communication protocol for email transmission. To deliver email in inbox one must chose the best SMTP provider.
Let’s understand how you can set it up here on DotcomPal. My friends, DotcomPal allows you to add a variety of best SMTP providers to ensure your inbox delivery.
Alright, now click on setting icon which is in the bottom of the left menu and it will open Business Settings. Then you will see some options like Business Details, Channels, Mail Settings, Contacts, Integration and API.
Click on Mail Settings. You can set mail settings for a business separately. You will be able to set up your SMTP, add From and Reply Email, define your Bounce Setting and Mail Footer settings.
Let's understand the SMTP settings. You'll be able to see the list of all the added SMTP providers here. When you click on this all drop down you'll be able to see a list of SMTP providers that can be added here on DotcomPal.
To add a new SMTP server just click on this add server button and select the SMTP provider.
You can choose your SMTP provider. For my case I am choosing this SMTP provider to show you how you can add this. To add this SMTP you will need name, SMTP host, SMTP port, SMTP username, and SMTP password.
You will get these all details and information from your SMTP provider. You can also set the sending limit as per your SMTP provider allows you. Once you have added all the information you can test your SMTP to see if it is working or not.
My friends when you send the test mail and you see the email is delivering that means your SMTP is working fine and you just need to click on the save button to save your SMTP.
Now let's check the From and Reply Email settings. You can add your desired email address to use as From and Reply for your emails. This is the email and name from which the email will be sent to your contacts. To add a new email Just click on this add new email button.
Here you need to type your name and then type email address you want to add. Now click on this verify button. It will send an email to your email address you want to add to verify the email. So friends please check your e-mail and you will see an e-mail with verification link you have to click on that link to verify.
You will get the success message that your email is verified successfully. That means your email is now added in system as From and Reply email. You can use this delete button to remove this email from using as From and Reply email. My friends this is how you can add your email as From and Reply email.
Now let's hope to the bounce settings. You can add your bounce setting here. For this you will need bounce address, bounce server, bounce password, and bounce port. These settings are for when the sent email bounces then the server will send those bounced emails according to this configured bounce setting. If you want to see what these settings are and how to get them, check this 'i' sign where we have explained the meaning of each box. Once you are finished adding this just save the settings from here.
My friends let's check the last setting, Mail Footer setting. You can define the footer settings for your email here. The footer of the email received in the inbox of your business contact will be according to the settings configured here. You can select the color from this drop-down option. You can select between gray white and black color.
When you select the color a pop-up will appear and it will allow you to select various themes. Select the desired theme and click on done button.
You can see the preview of your footer theme on the right side. My friends if you want to edit the business info then you can click on this button to edit it and it will take you to edit your business settings.
Guys, DotcomPal also allow you to show your social media handle in the footer as well so that they can follow you. Use the toggle button to turn it on and then add the URL. You can add Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube accounts URL.
Once done with this setting you can click on save button and that's it you have successfully configured mail settings for your DotcomPal account.
So friends this was all about Mail Configuration on DotcomPal. I believe the PDF was helpful.
