First, you need to click on this setting icon and then click on your Business settings.
You will see the different options here like Business Profile, Installation, Integration, Custom Domain, SEO and Accounts. Click on the Installation tab.
Here you will see two things HTML and WordPress. You can also read here in HTML that if your website is manually developed on HTML then choose this option to install DotcomPal on your website in WordPress. If your website is developed on the WordPress platform then choose this option to install DotcomPal on your website. So, in this video, we will see the installation with your WordPress. Click on the option Manual WordPress Installation.
Then if you have entered the business website URL in business settings it will show there automatically, if not then you need to enter your business website URL over here and Now click on Yes & Generate Script Button. Once you click on this button the HTML script code is generated below under Audience Analytics SDK.
Just copy this code with this Copy text button on the new tab.
You need to log in to your WordPress account. Now go to the theme editor as I am going here.
Now find the theme header part and click on it.
And paste the code. Now click on the Update File button. You will see a message file updated successfully.
Now let’s go back to your DotcomPal account and then click on this Verify button and you will see that it is now verified.
You can also see Accounts Analytics SDK here. If you want your registered users to be tracked by DotcomPal and analyze their whole journey then you will install this SDK with your business website and to do so you have to follow all the steps just like Audience Analytics SDK as explained in this script.
So, this is how you can complete the WordPress Installation.
I hope this was helpful.
